Boys Hockey: Pohlkamp, Klang named Warrior MVPs

The Brainerd Warriors boys hockey team held their postseason banquet

Eric Pohlkamp and Jed Klang were named Most Valuable Players for the Brainerd Warriors boys hockey team at their end-of-season banquet.

Pohlkamp was also named Best Offensive and Best Defensive Player.

The two earned All-Central Lakes Conference honors. Erik Stoxen, Andrew Zuk and Max Roby were all-conference honorable mention.

Zuk earned the Warrior Award and John Finnegan earned the Most Improved.

Adam Extrand and Grant Gardiepy landed the Hoffman Award and Roby was named Rookie of the Year.

Extrand also earned the Unsung Hero award while Stoxen was named Warrior Coaches Award winner.

Stoxen, Jack Andres, Cooper Cousino and Hayden MacLaughln earned Scholar All-Central Lakes Conference as well as Brainerd Dispatch Scholar-Athletes awards.

The Brainerd High School Hockey HObey Baker Award went to MacLaughlin.

Junior varsity award winners were Steven Selisker (most improved), Morgan Wasnie (hardest worker), Conner Erickson (best defensive player) and Holden Larson (best offensive player).
