Boys Hockey: Pohlkamp’s 2 goals not enough for Warriors in Duluth

The Brainerd Warriors traveled to Duluth East for a non-conference game.

DULUTH — Eric Pohlkamp notched two goals for Brainerd in its 4-2 loss to the Duluth East Greyhounds Friday, Feb. 5, in Duluth.

The Warriors loss snapped a two-game win streak.

Pohlkamp's first goal came in the second period on the power play off an assist from Landon Mackcow.

Duluth East came back and scored two goals in the second period to take a 2-1 lead.

The Greyhounds took a 3-1 lead after scoring the first goal of the third period. Pohlkamp got his second goal off an assist by Grant Gardiepy to make it 3-2.


Duluth East added an empty net goal with 15 seconds remaining.

Jed Klang tallied 24 saves as the Warriors were outshot 28-19.
