Boys Hockey: Warriors comeback to force a tie against Rams

ROSEAU — Ian Aadland scored a pair of goals for the Brainerd Warriors who battled to a 4-4 overtime tie with the Roseau Rams Saturday, Feb. 1, in a Section 8-2A contest.

Roseau beat the Warriors 8-4 Jan. 3 at Brainerd.

The Rams claimed a 3-0 lead with three unanswered goals in the first.

Aadland tallied his first goal and a Haden Kruse score in the second made it 3-2 headed into the final period.

Jacob Drietz evened the score with an assist from Aadland at 9:13 before Roseau reclaimed the lead at 12:53. Less than a minute later, Aadland scored a power-play goal with an assist from Mike Laber to force the overtime.

The Rams finished with a 38-32 shots on goal advantage with Warrior goalie Luke Saiko collecting 34 saves.
