Josh Howieson's goal 2:57 into overtime lifted the Brainerd Warriors to a 2-1 victory over the River Lakes Stars in a 2-point Central Lakes Conference game Thursday night at Essentia Health Sports Center.
Trailing 1-0 Adam Fischer scored a power-play goal for Brainerd at the 6:38 mark of the third to send the game into overtime.
Brady Mick stopped 28 shots in the Warriors' final home game of the regular season. The win snapped Brainerd's 3-game losing skid.
Grant Thompson gave River Lakes a 1-0 lead at 4:34 of the second on a power play.
