Boys Hockey: Warriors slash Sabres, tie for CLC lead

Mitch Andres collected four points on a goal and three assists to lead the Brainerd Warriors past the Sartell Sabres 6-3 in a Central Lakes Conference game Thursday at Essentia Health Sports Center.

Mitch Andres collected four points on a goal and three assists to lead the Brainerd Warriors past the Sartell Sabres 6-3 in a Central Lakes Conference game Thursday at Essentia Health Sports Center.

The win moves the Warriors into a tie for the conference lead with Sartell, both with 6-1-1 records.

Also finding the back of the net for Brainerd were Nick Karsnia, Mason Kruse, Riley Andres, Jack Evans and Wyatt Andres.

Goalie James Engen stopped 12 of 15 shots for Brainerd which is 9-6-1 overall.
