Goalie Greg Peterson recorded 13 saves for the Warriors.

"The Elk River coaches complimented us afterwards about how classy our kids are," said Brainerd head coach Adam Extrand. "We were pleased with that because we are constantly reminding the kids that no matter the outcome, we have to carry ourselves with class because we represent Brainerd.

"I've been working with Brainerd Community Education to get a middle school program going this summer on Tuesdays and Thursdays and that should help us in the future. The high school kids will help with the middle school program that is for both boys and girls."
