SARTELL — Jackson Bluth kicked in an unassisted goal with 30 seconds left to give the Brainerd Warriors a 1-0 Central Lakes Conference victory over the Sartell Sabres Tuesday, Sept. 1.

The two teams entered the contest with 1-0 records.

Brainerd goalkeeper Brandon Neifert stopped all five shots he faced while the Warriors put 17 shots on goal.

“It was a hard-fought battle between two talented teams, but in the end, our conditioning really paid off,” said Brainerd head coach Tom Grausam. “We moved the ball around well and kept our head in the game.”
