Michael Bylander and Preston Owen each recorded first- and second-place finishes in individual events and swam on two winning relays for the Brainerd Warriors who rolled past previously unbeaten and Central Lakes Conference leader St. Cloud Tech 120-65
Thursday at Brainerd High School.
Tech entered the meet 3-0 in the CLC, 4-0 overall. Brainerd is now 2-0 in the conference, 3-0 overall.
Bylander won the 200-yard individual medley and was second in the 100 breaststroke. Owen touched first in the 100 free and was second in the 50 free.
Also posting individual wins were Gunnar Niemeyer in the 100 butterfly and Griffin Blegen in the 100 backstroke. Tim Whiteman topped the diving with teammate Izaac Herrlich second.
Brainerd swept all three relays. Bylander and Owen teamed up with Niemeyer and Devan Liebeg to win the 200 medley. Liebeg and Bylander swam with Connor Lund and Michael Lyscio on the 200 free while Lund, Owen, Niemeyer and Blegen wrapped up the meet with a first in the 400 free.
