Mason Kuepers and Cade Rosenwald each won two individual events and swam on two winning relays for the Brainerd Warriors who opened their Central Lakes Conference season with a 108-66 win over the St. Cloud Apollo Eagles Thursday, Dec. 12, at Brainerd High School.
The Warriors finished first in every event and swept eight of the 12 as they improved to 2-0 overall.
Kuepers posted the fastest times in the 200- and 500-yard freestyles. Rosenwald led a Warriors sweep in both the 200 individual medley and the 100 butterfly.
Connor Lund and Dylan Paulson both touched the wall in 23.41 for a first-place tie in the 50 freestyle. Lund outswam the field in the 100 freestyle. Izaac Herrlich compiled 228.25 points to lead a Brainerd sweep in diving. Tristan Dawson and Parker Tatge led respective sweeps in the 100 backstroke and the 100 breaststroke.
