WILLMAR — Brainerd’s Cade Rosenwald won two individual events and swam on a winning relay for the Warriors who finished third in the team standings Saturday, Feb. 8, in the Central Lakes Conference Championship.
The Warriors’ 435.5 points were six points behind Class 1A’s seventh-ranked Alexandria. Class 1A’s fourth-ranked Sartell won the CLC title with 504 points.
Rosenwald posted a 2:05.18 in the 200-yard individual medley to win by a margin of more than two seconds. He clocked a 55.59 and out-touched Alexandria’s Luca Dauer by 25 hundredths of a second for first in the 100 butterfly. Brainerd’s Tristan Dawson was third in the butterfly.
Rosenwald and Dawson teamed with Parker Tatge and Dylan Paulson to win the 200 medley relay.
Dawson outswam the field in the 100 backstroke with a 54.40. Teammate Thomas Ruhl finished fifth.

Izaac Herrlich collected 365.25 points to finish second in the diving competition. Blake Cummings was in eighth-place after the prelim and semifinals dives, but moved to fifth place in the finals.
Mason Kuepers placed third in the 500 freestyle. He was sixth in the 200 free.
The Warrior 400 free relay of Kuepers, Rosenwald, Paulson and Connor Lund placed third. Noe Sorge, Tatge, Kuepers and Lund finished fifth in the 200 free relay.
The top three individuals and top two relays earned all-conference honors. Fourth through sixth-place individual relays and the third and fourth relays were honorable mention.
