BEMIDJI — Tristan Dawson won two individual events and swam on two winning relays for the Brainerd Warriors who opened their season crushing the Bemidji Lumberjacks 126-47 in an non-conference meet Thursday, Dec. 5.
The Warriors swept seven individual events and all three relays. The only events they didn’t sweep were the 100-yard freestyle, won by Dylan Paulson, and the diving competition where Izaac Herrlich finished second.
Dawson posted the fastest times in the 50 freestyle and the 100 butterfly.
Also winning individual events were Mason Kuepers (200 freestyle), Cade Rosenwald (200 individual medley), Baden Bastien (500 freestyle), Thomas Ruhl (100 backstroke), and Parker Tatge (100 breaststroke).
Dawson, Tatge, Rosenwald and Paulson teamed up to win the 200 medley relay. The 200 freestyle relay was won by Paulson, Tatge, Kuepers and Lund. Lund also anchored the first-place 400 free relay with Kuepers, Dawson and Rosenwald.
