WADENA - Mike Lindaman didn't surrender a point in his No. 2 singles victory as the Staples-Motley Cardinals defeated the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines 5-2 in a Mid-State Conference dual meet Thursday.
Mike Paabla-Michael Paulson provided a doubles victory for the Wolverines while Corey Pettow picked up a singles win.

CLOQUET - Kyle Mindrom won his singles match and the doubles team of Alex Anderson-DuVaughn Schroeder was victorious for Aitkin in a 5-2 loss to Cloquet Thursday.
Mindrom defeated John Scherer 6-4, 6-4. The No. 4 singles match was also close with the Gobblers' Dan Klucas coming up on the short end 5-7, 6-4, 10-8 against Zach Zezulka.
In doubles, Schroeder-Anderson defeated Sean and Ryan Kedrowski 3-6, 6-4, 6-2.
