ALEXANDRIA - Brainerd swept the singles and picked up two doubles wins to collect a key 6-1 Central Lakes Conference victory over Alexandria Friday.
Brainerd's Patrick Meyer won a marathon three-set match at No. 2 singles, while Brady Mick didn't drop a game in his No. 4 singles win.
"It was a good match for us," said Brainerd head coach Bruce Thompson. "Our kids played really well and it was a good win for Brainerd tennis."
JV winners for the warriors were Jake Hodge, Nick Stout-Nathan Rud and Travis Schultz-Matt Hintz.
