Brainerd girls win state title

The Brainerd Warriors girls fifth-grade girls basketball team won the Pacesetter State Tournament.

The Brainerd fifth grade girls basketball team won the Pacesetter State Tournament Sunday, June. 13 in Monticello.

The team had to win one of the eight regional tournaments to qualify for the state tournament. Brainerd went undefeated in the two tournaments to win the title. The team is now invited to play in the Great Five State Championship, which combines the top teams from Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
