Broc Peterson scattered three hits and an unearned run over five innings, but didn’t figure into the decision as White Bear Lake rallied to defeat Brainerd 4-3 Saturday, July 20 to complete the doubleheader sweep.

Ben Jones suffered the loss in relief. He allowed three runs, two earned, in the top of the seventh on one hit and two walks. He struck out one.
Peterson finished 1-2 with a solo home run and a walk. Marcus Lennartson collected Brainerd’s only other hit.
In the opener against White Bear Lake, Mason Argir went 2-3 and drove in Brainerd’s only run. Konnor Wicklund was 2-3 with the run scored. Colby Watland, Marcus Lennartson and Gunnar Wicklund produced Brainerd’s other three hits.

In Friday’s doubleheader sweep of Buffalo, Colin Kleffman combined to go 5-6 with seven RBIs, four runs, two walks, a double and a home run as Brainerd won 10-0 and 4-3.
In Game one, Kleffman was 2-3 with six RBIs, two runs, a double and a grand slam. Gunnar Wicklund finished 2-3 with a double and an RBI. Renzen Caughey was 2-4 with two runs and an RBI and Eli Roberts was 2-2 with two runs and an RBI.
Eric Martin held Buffalo to six hits and one walk over six innings. He struck out three for the shutout.
Kleffman was 3-3 with an RBI and two runs scored in Game Two, but it was Jones’ seventh-inning RBI single that handed Brainerd the win.
Caughey finished 2-3 with a run. Michael Laber and Jones were 2-4 with an RBI.
Mason Argir started and held Buffalo to one run on two walks and no hits. He lasted four innings, but didn’t figure in the decision. The victory went to Colby Watland, who pitched the final two innings of scoreless relief. He walked three and struck out two.
