MINNETONKA — With two second-place finishes Saturday, Oct. 31, the Brainerd Warriors will once again attend the National Cheerleading Championship in Orlando, Fla.
Brainerd placed second at the Universal Cheerleading Association’s 10,000 Lakes Regional Competition to earn a bid to UCA Nationals.
“To earn a bid to the UCA National Championship, teams must attend a summer UCA camp and must compete at a UCA regional competition earning a qualifying score to advance to the UCA National Championship,” Warrior head coach Carissa Ulness said. Brainerd placed second in the varsity coed competition and the small coed non-tumble division.
The national competition will be the first weekend in February. Brainerd’s next competition will be Jaguar Cheer Jam Saturday, Nov. 7, at Bloomington Jefferson High School.
