MINNETONKA โ The Brainerd Warriors won the co-ed division with a zero deduction finish Jan. 8, at the Minnetonka Freeze Varsity competition.
Brainerd also placed fourth in the game day division with another zero deduction performance.
โI am extremely proud of their hard work and dedication,โ Warrior head coach Carissa Ulness said. โJust three days before this competition we hard to rework both of our routines and make adjustments to our stunts. We knew going into the competition we would need to focus on a clean routine with all of our new changes. Both divisions were going to be tough that day so our goal was to have a clean routine for both performances and to leave it all on the mat.
โThey stepped onto the mat. They gave it their all and had two great performances. This was a great way to kick off 2022 and the remainder of our season.โ
Brainerd will next compete Saturday, Jan. 15, at the Edina Sweetheart Classic.
