JORDAN-Staples-Motley's Andrew Israelson was only on his second green when severe weather halted the opening day round of the Class 2A state tournament at the Ridges at Sand Creek Tuesday.
Israelson was in the second to last flight of boys and parred his first hole.
Information on Wadena-Deer Creek's Jordan Kern was unavailable.
On the girls side, Olivia Klefsaas from Staples-Motley was at 5 over 41 after her first nine and was on the 17th green when play was suspended. Teammate Hailey Koenig finished the front nine 11-over with a 47.
"These are the cards they've been dealt," said S-M head coach Glen Hasselberg of the weather delay. "They just have to play it out."

Pequot Lakes' Alex Stone was at 2 over with two holes left and teammate Amanda Nies was sitting 9 over with one hole left when play was suspended.
Stone turned in a 3-over-par 39 on the front side and was one under after seven on the back. Nies carded a 2-over-par 38 on her front nine, but struggled on the back going 7 over with one hole left.
According to Hasselberg, there were three groups left to finish for the girls, none with more than two holes. Play resumes at 7 a.m. Wednesday for girls and boys and when the boys finish, the girls will immediately start Round Two on tees one and 10.
