Confidence Learning Center hosted the 43rd Golf Classic and 33rd Fishing Classic June 17 and 18. Friday kicked off with some weather delays at The Classic at Maddens, but that did not dampen the enthusiasm the full roster of golfers had.

Theme for the weekend was Generations of Classic Traditions; and many family generations were in attendance including the Thompson Family who received a John Beyer Memorial Award for being walking ambassadors for the Golf Classic and Confidence Learning Center throughout the year. Brooke Silvernail also received a John Beyer Memorial Award given at the start of the Golf Classic event.

The Ralph Klapperich Award was given to the Volunteer of the Year-Mike Berning, and the Everett Lassig Award was given to the Fishing Classic Ambassadors of the year-The Baxter Bass Snatchers Club.

"To see the golfers and fisherman come together at one amazing event is so much fun to watch," said Executive Director Jeff Olson. "There was a lot of bidding on the auctions, along with full participation in all the events with all the monies going to where it really matters-our

campers."

On Saturday morning, boats launched for the Fishing Classic from Maddens Lagoon.

The weekend was wrapped up with the Fishing Classic weigh-in and a cookout.

The Camp Classic event is held the third weekend in June every year, and is the largest in-house fundraiser hosted by Confidence Learning Center.
