Eight Central Lakes College Raiders were among more than 6,000 student-athletes who earned distinction on one of three 2016-17 NJCAA All-Academic Teams following their success in the classroom.
The Raiders included Aleia Lupa, women's basketball, third team; Jacob Russell, men's basketball, second team; Katelyn Waytashek, softball, third team; Kayla Larson, softball and volleyball, third team.
Nik Gasner, baseball, first team; Sierra Nori, volleyball, first team; Taylor King, women's basketball, third team; and Teshawn Kelly, football, second team.
Grade point average benchmarks:
• NJCAA All-Academic First Team, 4.00 GPA

• NJCAA All-Academic Third Team, 3.60-3.79 GPA
