Central Lakes College volleyball player Paige Wallevand and three Raider coaches have received awards from the Minnesota College Athletic Conference after their fall seasons.
Wallevand was named an NJCAA Division III All-America and made NJCAA Volleyball First Team. The sophomore from Henning was named to the First Team by the NJCAA Division III Volleyball Committee.
She was a dominant player on a dominant team, earning several conference and national player of the week honors and player of the year status in the Northern Division.
Wallevand and head coach Jane Peterson led the Raiders to a 27-6 overall record and 12-0 mark in MCAC contests.
Gopher Sport presented MCAC Fall Sport Coach of the Year honors to Peterson and CLC football coach Greg Medeck.

In her 29th year at CLC, Peterson led the Raiders to a fourth-place finish in the 2018 NJCAA Division III Volleyball National Championships. Her team was ranked in the top five of each NJCAA weekly poll and maintained the No. 1 spot for five weeks.
With the 2018 tournament appearance, CLC has earned 15 trips to the NJCAA Division III Championships, most of any MCAC program. Peterson ranks fourth in the active NJCAA Volleyball all-time wins category with 661.
Medeck was the MCAC Eastern Division co-coach of the year with Weldon Braxton of Itasca.
Medeck led the Raiders to a 5-0 Eastern Division mark and home field advantage throughout the postseason in his 12th year. In 2018, Medeck eclipsed the 100-win mark in early October. CLC finished 7-3 overall, 5-0 in the East.
After two losses to open the season, CLC reeled off seven straight regular-season wins. Four Raiders were named to the 2018 All-Region Team.
