SIOUX CITY, Iowa - Brainerd High School graduate Nate DeChaine of Morningside College was named to the All-Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) second team.
The freshman third baseman hit .341 with 11 doubles, one triple, two home runs, 30 RBIs and three stolen bases. He was one of the Mustangs' hottest hitters at the end of the season when he went 22-for-47 for a .468 average over his last 13 games.
Morningside posted a 35-18 overall record and finished third in the GPAC standings with an 11-9 league mark.
