College Baseball: DeChaine ties Morningside home run record

Brainerd High School graduate Nathan DeChaine tied the Morningside College career home run record when the Mustangs played No. 24 Vanguard to a 6-6 tie in Wednesday's game at Costa Mesa, Calif.

Brainerd High School graduate Nathan DeChaine tied the Morningside College career home run record when the Mustangs played No. 24 Vanguard to a 6-6 tie in Wednesday's game at Costa Mesa, Calif.

DeChaine blasted the record-tying 36th home run of his Morningside career with a two-run shot in the top of the third inning to tie a record set by Jared Noteboom from 2007-10.

The game ended after 10 innings due to darkness.
