College Baseball: Itasca sweeps Central Lakes

Central Lakes College had an active offense in Game One, but was inactive in Game Two as the Raiders lost both games of a doubleheader against Itasca Wednesday.

Central Lakes College had an active offense in Game One, but was inactive in Game Two as the Raiders lost both games of a doubleheader against Itasca Wednesday.

In Game One, the Raiders knocked out 10 hits and tied the game with a 4-run sixth inning on RBI singles from Kyle Zierden and Trey Heinsius, followed by a 2-run single from Cody Fourre. Heinsius and Fourre each finished with two hits while Brady Moulzolf knocked out three.

The Vikings opened up the game with a 3-run seventh, going on to win 7-4.

Jake Hytinen was the lone offensive bright spot for the Raiders in a 6-0 loss in Game Two as he went 2-3, but CLC managed just three hits. Jake Swendsrud took the loss, but gave up just one earned run in five innings.
