Jake Kapphahn as a run-producing machine for the Central Lakes Conference Raiders Saturday, March 3, in Brainerd.
The former Little Falls Flyer went 1-3 with a double and three RBIs in the Raiders 6-4 victory over Anoka-Ramsey and drove in two more runs and scored twice in CLC’s 11-10 loss to Vermilion.
In Game One, an 11-10 nine-inning loss to Vermilion, Philip Zynda went 3-6 with three RBIs. Reese Kapsner was 2-3 with two runs and two RBIs. Eli Roberts went 3-4 with two RBIs and Jake Kapphahn was 1-3 with three runs scored, a double and an RBI.
The Raiders rallied from 2-0, 7-3 and 8-6 deficits to force the two extra innings. In the ninth, Vermilion scored three runs and CLC’s rally fell short by one run.
Kyle Baker suffered the loss. He went four innings allowing three earned runs on nine hits and no walks. He struck out two.

Adam Braun also drove in three runs in Game Two with a home run. Hunter Wicklund and Kyle Baker each went 2-3. Baker scored a run.
Pierz product Preston Rocheleau pitched the complete-game victory. He allowed one earned run on five hits and three walks. He struck out six over seven innings of work.
