Brainerd High School graduate Blake Peterson of Luther College was named Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week ending Sunday.
Peterson, a senior starting pitcher from Baxter, threw a 1-0 no-hitter against Simpson College Saturday. He struck out seven in seven innings in his only appearance of the week. He allowed only one ball out of the infield during his gem.
In IIAC games, Peterson is 2-0 with an opposing batting average of .171 and 21 strikeouts.
