College Baseball: Raiders drop 2 in Arizona

TUCSON, Ariz. — Central Lakes faced off against Williston State College Tuesday, Mar. 10, for two games in Tucson, Arizona. The Raiders lost Game One 11-1 and 10-9 in Game Two.

In Game One the Raiders collected just three hits but all were doubles coming from Preston Rocheleau, Austin Dickmann and Alex Haapajoki.

Jake Kapphahn pitched five ⅓ innings giving up five runs on seven hits.

Haapajoki scored the lone run for the Raiders in the bottom of the second inning.

CLC led 9-8 going into the bottom of the eighth inning in Game Two before Williston State responded with two runs to get the 10-9 win in eight innings.

The Raiders were led offensively by Jack Allen and Thomas Kossan, who each doubled, with Allen also collecting two RBIs. Austin Dickmann pitched six innings before being relieved by Eric Martin, who suffered the loss.
