College Baseball: Raiders get a lopsided sweep

CLC plays a doubleheader Friday, April 2.

The Central Lakes College Raiders made quick work of both their opponents to earn a doubleheader sweep Friday, March 2, on the CLC campus in Brainerd.

In the first game, Gunnar Wicklund belted two home runs and drove in five runs in the Raiders 18-5 win over Rainy River.

Reese Kapsner also went deep for CLC in the win. Eli Roberts tallied two hits including a double and three runs in the game.

Jonathan Lerma pitched all five innings giving up five runs and striking out five.

In the second game, Wicklund hit his third home run of the game in a 13-3 win over Vermilion.

Roberts added a home run of his own and Kapsner doubled twice in the Raiders’ second blow out win of the day.

Eric Martin pitched all five innings in the win and tallied five strikeouts.
