The Central Lakes College Raiders provided productive pitching and hitting at times, but couldn't translate it to the win column as they were swept by Anoka-Ramsey in a Central Division doubleheader Wednesday at Findorff Field.
Kyle Zierden was the tough luck loser for the Raiders in a 2-1 extra inning loss in Game One. Zierden pitched all 10 innings, giving up two earned runs while striking out two. The winning run scored for the Rams on a sacrifice fly.
Cody Fourre, Jake Hyytinen and Austin Larson each collected hits for the Raiders, and Casey Giesseman scored the lone run on a ground out from Hyytinen in the fourth inning. Troy Lenz knocked in the other run for CLC.
Trey Heinsius collected two hits, including a double and an RBI in a 7-2 CLC loss in Game Two. Larson also recorded two hits and the Raiders finished with eight hits as a team.
