Amber Posner of Pillager is a member of the University of Jamestown women's cross country team, which opens its season at 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, at the Valley City State Invitational.
Posner played volleyball at Pillager, and has never run cross country, but was a Minnesota state track and field qualifier in the 3200 her senior year.
The Jimmies will run in the Randy Smith Invitational at Glyndon Sept. 12.
