College Football: 3 Raiders honored by MCAC
The MCAC announced its weekly awards.
ROCHESTER — Three Central Lakes College Raiders football players were recognized by the Minnesota College Athletic Conference.
David Boyd Jr. was named the MCAC Offensive Player of the Week. The freshman wide receiver from St. Cloud, caught four passes for 70 yards and a touchdown in a win over Minnesota North - Mesabi Range.
Nicholas Korom of Bismarck, North Dakota, was named the Defensive Player of the Week. The sophomore defensive lineman finished with four solo tackles, one assisted tackle, one tackle for loss and one sack.
The MCAC’s Special Teams Player of the Week honor went to Cole Hiltner. The sophomore linebacker from Pillager blocked a punt and returned it 27 yards for a touchdown.
The victory pushed CLC’s record to 2-2 overall and in the MCAC. The Raiders will play Saturday, Oct. 1 at North Dakota State College of Science.
