ROCHESTER — Central Lakes College Raiders wideout Jackson Owens was named the Minnesota College Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week and teammate Rashad Sherwood was named co-Defensive Player of the Week.
Owens, a freshman from Minnetonka, caught seven passes for 167 yards and three touchdowns in a victory over Rochester Community and Technical College Saturday, Sept. 10. He scored the game-winning touchdown with nine seconds remaining to give CLC its first win of the season.

Sherwood, a freshman from Minneapolis, finished with six tackles, one tackle for loss, one pass breakup and one interception he returned 78 yards for a touchdown against Rochester.
The victory evened CLC’s record at 1-1 overall and in the MCAC.
The Raiders next play Saturday, Sept. 17 at Minnesota West Community and Technical College.
