Little Falls senior Jake Anderson on Wednesday was one of 29 student-athletes who signed letters of intent to continue their football careers at Valley City State University.
The 6-foot-3, 245-pound defensive lineman was a 2-year starter for the Flyers. He received All-Granite Ridge Conference honorable mention in 2013. Last fall he played in three games before suffering a season-ending injury.
He's currently ranked No. 1 in the state at 240 pounds by USA Weightlifting. In 2014, he won the 231-pound state championship. Also as a junior, Anderson won three bronze medals in national USA Weightlifting competition.
Anderson also competes in track and field for the Flyers.
