NORTHFIELD - Conor Gessell rushed for 100 yards and a score as the Concordia College Cobbers held off Carleton for a 27-24 MIAC victory Saturday.
Gessell's second touchdown in two weeks pushed the Cobbers' lead to 13-7 with 5:02 left in the opening quarter. He averaged 8.3 yards per carry on 12 attempts.
In five games this fall, Gessell has rushed 26 times for 186 yards (7.2 average) and two TDs.
The Cobbers, who have won three straight, are 3-1 in the MIAC, 5-1 overall. They host Augsburg at 1 p.m. Saturday.
