Joe Haeg and the North Dakota State University Bison open the 2014 season at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug., 30, against the Iowa State Cyclones at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames, Iowa.
The game will be televised by Fox Sports 1 (FS1).
It will be Haeg's first game starting at left tackle (he started at right tackle the last two years for the Bison). Haeg (No. 59) is the only returning starter in the NDSU offensive line this season. He has made 29 of 30 possible starts at right tackle his first two years.
Iowa State's defensive line returns right defensive end Corey Morrisey, who received All-Big 12 honorable mention in 2013. Haeg's assignment will be to block Morrisey.
The 3-time defending Football Championship Series national champion Bison take a 24-game win streak to Iowa State where they seek their fifth straight win over a Football Bowl Subdivision team.
