Left tackle Joe Haeg was one of five North Dakota State University Bison selected to the College Sporting News Fab 50 FCS All-America Team Tuesday.

Haeg, a Brainerd High School graduate, was named offensive lineman of the year for the second straight season. Bison punter Ben LeCompte was named special teams player of the year. NDSU middle linebacker Nick DeLuca was named playoff MVP after making 39 tackles in four postseason games.

Bison fullback Andrew Bonnet and cornerback CJ Smith were also selected to the Fab 50 team. Left guard Zack Johnson received honorable mention.

The Bison won an unprecedented fifth straight national championship with a 37-10 victory over top-ranked Jacksonville State Saturday. NDSU won its last nine games to finish 13-2 overall and was the unanimous No. 1 in the final STATS FCS Top 25 and FCS Coaches polls.
