College Football: Raiders fall in opener

ITASCA — Landon Jones connected with Paul Meyer for a 52-yard touchdown pass for the Central Lakes College Raiders’ only touchdown of the game in their 19-8 loss to Itasca Community College Saturday, Aug. 28.

Meyer’s touchdown came in the third quarter. Chase Dressel picked up a safety in the fourth quarter for Raiders to complete the scoring.

Charles Dressel led the defensive effort for the Raiders with 17 tackles, 13 of them being solo, and two sacks.

Overall: CLC 0-1. Next: CLC hosts Minnesota State 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4.
