Ranked 13th in the NJCAA preseason poll, the Central Lakes College Raiders open the 2017 season at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 2 at Worthington against Minnesota West.
Head coach Greg Medeck enters his 11th season with an 89-23 overall record. Last season the Raiders finished 11-1 overall, 5-0 in the Eastern Division of the Minnesota College Athletic Conference. They won the MCAC state championship with a 36-28 victory over North Dakota State College of Science.
In December, the Raiders were invited to play in the Red Grange Bowl at Glen Ellyn, Ill., where they lost to the College of DuPage 25-22 in overtime.
