College Football: Spieker named all-america

LA CROSSE, Wis. — University of Wisconsin-La Crosse senior wide receiver Cole Spieker has been named 2019 D3football.com All-America Second Team, the organization announced Friday.

It is Spieker's first career All-America honor. The former Brainerd Warrior earned his first career D3football.com All-West Region honors Dec. 10, being voted to the first team.

Named to the 2019 All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) First Team in a vote by the league coaches, Spieker was also selected the 2019 WIAC Offensive Player of the Year. It was his fourth career all-league honor, including second first-team selection. He was named to the 2018 All-WIAC First Team Offense and 2018 Honorable Mention Special Teams. Spieker was a 2017 all-conference second-team choice on offense.
