College Golf: Israelson, Stone help Vikings to top 10 finish

HOUSTON -- The Augustana women's golf team concluded its 11th consecutive NCAA Division II Nationals competition Saturday at Bay Oaks Country Club by posting their third top-10 finish at the event.

HOUSTON - The Augustana women's golf team concluded its 11th consecutive NCAA Division II Nationals competition Saturday at Bay Oaks Country Club by posting their third top-10 finish at the event.

The Vikings finished with a four-day overall total of 1,247. Augustana senior Emily Israelson (Staples) carded a tournament total of 321 for a 60th-place finish.

Freshman Alex Stone (Crosslake) wrapped up her first nationals appearance with a 349, and remained in 71st place for the tournament.

The University of Indianapolis captured the team title with a total of 1,157 as well as medalist honors with Katharina Keilich finishing with a four-day total of 287.
