Brainerd High School graduate Gerrit Garberich was one of 10 members of the College of St. Scholastica men's and women's Nordic ski teams that were recognized recently as United States Collegiate Ski Coaches Association All-Academic honorees.
Garberich and teammates Isaac Wieber (St. Cloud Tech) and Dan DeLestry (Eau Claire, Wis., Memorial) earned the honor for the second straight year.
To qualify, student-athletes must have a cumulative 3.5-grade point average and have competed in one of three NCAA Regional Championships.
