College Softball: CLC Summer Camp June 18-19

The Central Lakes College Summer Softball Camp is scheduled from 6 to 8:30 p.m. June 18-19 at the CLC Raiders softball field at the Findorff Athletic Complex in Brainerd.

The Central Lakes College Summer Softball Camp is scheduled from 6 to 8:30 p.m. June 18-19 at the CLC Raiders softball field at the Findorff Athletic Complex in Brainerd.

CLC head coach Donnie Tizzano, assistant coach Ray Austin and Raider players will teach the basic fundamentals of fast-pitch softball in the areas of hitting, bunting, throwing, fielding, baserunning, pitching and catching. This camp is an opportunity to experience how college softball programs practice, prepare and compete.

The camp is open to high school players entering 10th through 12th grades from all schools in the lakes area. Enrollment is limited to allow quality instruction for each participant.

To reserve your camp spot, e-mail coach Tizzano at dtizzano@clcmn.edu no later than June 15.

Registration and signed waiver of liability form should be completed and returned with payment to: Central Lakes College, Attn: Coach Donnie Tizzano, 501 W. College Dr., Brainerd, MN 56401.

The clinic fee is $50. Clinic check in begins at 5:30 p.m. June 18 at the CLC softball field. Each player will receive a camp T-shirt. No refunds will be made after the start of clinic.

Participants will not be covered with medical or dental insurance during the clinic. Camp sessions start the day of check-in. Be sure to notify the coaching staff if there are any medical concerns that they should be aware of.
