Brianna Meyer of the Central Lakes College Raiders was named the Minnesota College Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week fo the Northern Division.
Meyer started off the 2020 season with a home run and six RBIs as the Raiders competed in Florida.
In addition to the home run, Meyer, a sophomore catcher, stole a base, collected a walk and finished with four hits total.
Meyer’s former high school teammate and recent Pierz Pioneers graduate Laura Skiba was named the Southern Division Player of the Week. Skiba plays third base for St. Cloud Technical.
She had seven hits in 15 at-bats, with three of those hits being home runs. She finished with five RBIs, six runs and a stolen base.
