GRAND RAPIDS-Hannah Munsch doubled, homered and drove in four runs as the Central Lakes College Raiders defeated Northland 9-5 in Game Three of the Bill McBride Invitational Saturday.
Munsch finished 2-for-4 with three runs scored. Rachel Mathias went 3-for-4 with a walk. Kaye Smude and Kelsey Platz drove in Raider runs. Lindsey Bennett went the distance on the mound, allowing eight hits and five runs (3 earned) with five walks and three strikeouts.
Smude went 3-for-4 with four RBIs and two runs scored as CLC lost 11-7 in Game One to Mesabi Range. Smude doubled and homered while Maddy Stall, Katelyn Waytashek and Brandi Burbach each collected two hits.
Stall drove in two runs during a 14-2 loss to Rainy River in Game Two.
The Raiders open Northern Division play Saturday at Northland.
