Ashley Hanson of Pillager and Autumn Roberts of New York Mills have decided to play softball for the Central Lakes College Raiders in the spring of 2016.

Hanson, the Huskies' center fielder this season, was named to the All-Park Region Conference team as a junior.

"Ashley can play all three outfield spots well," CLC head coach Don Tizzano said. "She has above-average speed and gets a great jump on the ball. Ashley adds depth to our lineup. We can hit her in any spot in the order and she'll do a great job.

"Ashley has a motor that never stops. Every successful team has a player like Ashley on the roster."

Roberts graduated in 2014 from New York Mills where she was a starting pitcher. After high school graduation, she went on a mission trip to Africa to help young children in underdeveloped nations. She was named first-team all-state as a senior.

"Autumn is a tremendous athlete that will anchor our pitching staff," Tizzano said. "She spins the ball well and can locate all of her pitches. Autumn will also see time in the infield when she is not pitching."
