With the division title their for the taking and the ability to host the Region 13 Tournament in their grasp, the Central Lakes College Raiders scored 30 runs in sweeping Vermilion in a Northern Division doubleheader at Findorff Field on Wednesday in the regular season finale.
It was the 15th win in 16 tries for the Raiders who finished the regular season with an overall record of 18-5.
Lacy Hiltner struck out six batters in five innings of work to get the win in Game One. She also recorded two hits including a double as the Raiders won by a score of 14-2.
Jenny Skoog went 3-3 with two doubles and three RBI. Jordyn Crume also doubled along with Hiltner in the win for CLC.
Faith Kassulker and Hannah Munsch each contributed two hits to the winning effort.

Game Two finished much the same way with the Raiders getting 16 runs but getting there with just eight hits in a 16-3 win.
Crume and Kassulker each went 2-4 with two RBI along with Dani Angilino and Elyse Skoog with two RBI each.
Prior to the region tournament the Raiders will play in the Northern Division Tournament this weekend at Grand Rapids.

CLC sweeps Hibbing
HIBBING-Autumn Roberts twirled a 1-hit complete-game shutout to lead the Central Lakes College Raiders to a 4-0 victory over the Hibbing Cardinals in Game One of a Northern Division doubleheader Tuesday. Faith Kassulker tripled and drove in three CLC runs.
The Raiders won Game Two 10-2 as Roberts and Kassulker each had two hits. Winning pitcher Jenny Skoog, Roberts and Kassulker each drove in two runs. Skoog pitched all five innings allowing four hits and two earned runs with four strikeouts and two walks.
