College Softball: Raiders power past Hibbing for a sweep

HIBBING — Addie Sanford and Sydnee Johnson each provided some power leading to the Central Lakes College Raiders sweeping Hibbing by 10-1, 14-0 scores

Sanford was 3-4 with a home run and five RBIs in Game one.

Jenna Gratz pitched the victory. She struck out nine and allowed one unearned run on four hits and two walks. She helped her own cause by going 2-4 with a double, two runs and an RBI.

Cassidy Zontelli was 3-4 with a double and three runs scored and Sarah Kossen hit a double and added two runs and an RBI.

Johnson was 3-4 with a double, home run, two runs and five RBIs in Game Two.


Sanford struck out seven, walked none and scattered two hits over five innings for the win. She was 3-4 with three runs and three RBIs.

Zontelli finished 3-4 with two runs and Gratz was 1-3 with two runs. Kossan went 3-4 with three runs and two RBIs and Chloe Munsch drove in three runs for the Raiders, who improved to 6-2 in the North Division and 8-9 overall.
