Kaye Smude of Central Lakes College was named the NJCAA Division III Softball Player of the Week ending March 18.
In eight games last week, the freshman catcher from Brainerd, scored seven runs and collected nine hits, including two doubles and two triples, with four RBIs and two stolen bases. She batted .360 with a .600 slugging percentage.
After going 3-5 on their spring trip to South Carolina, the Raiders return to action Saturday, March 25, in the Minnesota Crossover Tournament at Rochester. CLC plays St. Cloud Technical at 11 a.m. and Anoka-Ramsey at 5 p.m.
