College Softball: Wagoner powers Raiders to 2 victories at MCAC Crossover

ROCHESTER--Andrea Wagoner enjoyed a weekend to remember as the Central Lakes College Raiders won two of three games at the MCAC Crossover tournament Saturday.

ROCHESTER-Andrea Wagoner enjoyed a weekend to remember as the Central Lakes College Raiders won two of three games at the MCAC Crossover tournament Saturday.

The sophomore from Colona Ill., went 4-for-7 with four home runs and 12 RBIs and pitched a complete game.

In Game One, a 13-0 victory over Rochester, Wagoner hit three home runs and finished 3-for-3 with three runs and nine RBIs. On the mound, she struck out six and walked one and allowed two hits. Sam Schimpp and Paige Johnson each had two hits for the Raiders.

Lindsay Hendrickson homered and doubled as CLC lost 5-4 to Anoka-Ramsey in Game Two. Katelyn Waytashek went 3-4 and Hendrickson 2-3. Losing pitcher Brooke Jerger went the distance, allowing nine hits and three earned runs with two walks and three strikeouts.

In Game Three, the Raiders beat Minnesota State Fergus Falls 9-0 as Wagoner and Hendrickson homered. Lisa Kossan, Brooke Jerger, Kayla Larson and Hendrickson all had two hits. Larson fired a 1-hitter, striking out nine and walking none.

CLC is not scheduled to play again until April 11. The CLC Classic scheduled Saturday, April 7, against Rainy River and Itasca has been canceled.
