College Track and Field: Huber NSIC preseason outdoor field athlete of year

MOORHEAD--Minnesota State University Moorhead senior Brian Huber was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Preseason Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year Friday, March 23.

MOORHEAD-Minnesota State University Moorhead senior Brian Huber was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Preseason Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year Friday, March 23.

The Staples-Motley graduate was the 2017 NSIC outdoor champion in the long jump and is the school record holder in the outdoor long jump. He is a three-time All-American in his Dragon career and has four conference titles.

The Dragon men were picked in seventh in the NSIC outdoor preseason coaches poll while the women were picked to finish 10th.

The University of Mary was named as the preseason favorite in the women's poll with 12 first-place votes and 192 points. Minnesota State Mankato was named as the favorite on the men's side with 10 first-place votes and 100 points.
